Fraka Harmsen : The Importance of Higher Education

Fraka Harmsen has worked in the higher education sector for more than three decades, establishing a successful career as a top-level administrator. In her career, Fraka Harmsen is interacted with countless students, many of them seeking to better their lives through education. Her personal experience, deciding to pursue a bachelor's degree in Geology as a 16-year old first generation student, opened up a world of opportunities.

Higher education serves many goals, some of which are acknowledged in modern culture. Since not all the reasons for pursuing education after high school are highlighted, some young people think it's not worth it, and, in the process, miss out on many potential advantages that higher education can provide.
